Low Iron float glass also called Ultra clear glass is a low iron float glass that has been processed in a tempering machine to increase it’s strength to resist impact, mechanical loads
and thermal stress breakage.It looks like colorless crystal with a solar energy transmittance of up to 91%.
This glass is four times stronger than annealed glass of the same thickness and configuration.
When broken, tempered glass fractures into small fragments reducing the probability of injury.
Low iron float glass has a highly smooth surface, which makes it suitable
for thin film solar modules and thermal collectors.
